Bandera De Sion

So adjusting to Baton Rouge has been interesting. Going through the area book the average number of lessons 2. I have usually gotten over 10..... So it will probably be a little more difficult. The unit I am assigned to is the Baton Rouge 5th Spanish Branch. The Branch meets in the Stake Center next to the temple... btw the temple is in my area.... :) The spanish Branch is really small and doesn't even meet in the chapel. We meet in the English relief society room. All of our work is spanish... So it is frustrating that our work doesn't start until the evening. BUT WE HAVE A CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So on thursday we went to the library on google earth to profile south Baton Rouge to find hispanic areas. It felt awful but it had to be done because we were left with nothing.

After profiling the areas we have been doing a lot of finding, contacting, and tracting in these neighborhoods.... We actually have gotten a lot of lessons just by walking up to people and teaching them the restoration. .... Hopefully we find people who want us to legitly come back.... A lot of them do but when you come back they don't answer. They definitely dont want to be rude to your face.... Oh well. It has been good for my trainee to help him learn how to tract. It definetly has helped me with my spanish because we are solo spanish. We have been able to meet with the Branch President, President Otinelli and he gave us a list of people to go see. He was really nice.

So a miracle happened on Saturday for the Spanish people. We were able to participate in the first ever Spanish endowment session for the Baton Rouge temple. The spanish people used to have to wear head phones that would translate into spanish or would have to just view in English but the temple will have a spanish session the first Saturday of each month at 1 o'clock. I was so nervous to do it but it went really well It was also interesting to get a new perspective. I learned a lot definitely how different words would translate back into english. It was easy to understand the session but the last part.....  But I made it just find!!! It was really awesome to do it in Spanish. But I do like it in English a lot more!!! It is a lot easier for me.
